     Hello! This past week has been a hurricane week.  What do I mean by that? I mean, this last week has been full of events that have slammed into me with all the force of a hurricane.They have left me bewildered. I want to run and hide in a cave until it's all over.  I will not go into all the details, but what I will say, is that the trials have made me look for the light in the darkness. Because, even in the darkest periods of our lives, there is hope.  It's one reason I love the stars so much. They're beautiful and glittering. Like a king's crown, but they are so much more than that. Stars are a reminder that even in a dark sky, there is light. And it's untouchable. Darkness cannot win. Not ultimately.  Yes, there are times when it looks like the darkness will have the victory. Times, you want to give up hope. But there is light in the darkness if only we will look for it. I'm not a pie-in-the-sky girl. I will not pretend that everything is okay....

Hello! This month I wanted to discuss something that I normally don't talk about: books! Okay, so I'm joking. But only halfway! My favorite genre to read in is fantasy, especially lesser known fantasy, but way back when I was a wee thing, I didn't have access to the internet which has broadened my reading field.  I grew up on classics and read them for school. One of my goals for this year is to revisit some of them and read some new ones.  Today, I want to share with you some classics I've read that have inspired my WIPs (Works-in-Progress). Hello! This month has been chaotic with an unusual amount of planning for next month's writing project so I apologize for the silence on here. Stories aside, I do  also write poetry which is part of the reason I look forward to Poetry 15th  every month. I had a hard time choosing the prompt for this month, but at last I settled on the unusual. This is October which has a long history steeped in weirdness. (I'm looking at you, Halloween .) Yeah, I know that it's not  Autumn-ish or even Halloween-ish or October-ish. No bright orange, red, or gold, but bear with me. Outer space is unusual too, and I love the stars!
